Being Authentic
- We desire to be authentic in our worship. What does being authentic mean? Simply stated, it means be who you are. Be the same person in every circumstance. Hold to the same values in whatever role you have. Always be your real self whether you're at Wal-Mart getting your oil changed or at church on Sunday. Being authentic is, first, knowing yourself, then being yourself. Authenticity derives from our deepest, truest selves. How do we come to know ourselves? Only through God's Holy Spirit at work in us, His Word, prayer and taking time to be still before Him.
The Band - Musically, we desire to offer fresh, creative ways for the body of Christ to express her love to the Father in song. Our style is a modern blend of praise and worship songs and hymns arranged in a fresh way.
In many ways, we are like a family among families. We value each other's friendship, pray together regularly and always take time to have fun. Instrumentally, the praise band consists of: acoustic guitar (leader), keyboard/bass, lead electric guitar, drum kit, alternate percussion and vocals.
Thursday Schedule:
7:00 p.m. - Praise Team Rehearsal
We believe God has given us our abilities and talents for His Kingdom purposes and that we should practice to show ourselves approved. We currently meet for rehearsal in the church sanctuary at 7:00 each Thursday night. A Word from our Worship Pastor...
"First and foremost, the worship ministry of BBC exists to glorify Jesus Christ in all that we are and in all that we do! Our constant prayer is that God would speak in a powerful way through His Holy Spirit, and that we would respond by submitting our lives to Him daily, lifting Him up in worship and praise wherever we may be. We believe that everyone was created to worship God and that He gives us freewill to choose Him as Lord and King of our lives or to reject His love and go our own way. We also believe that God is worthy of our best, and the greatest thing that anyone can give Him is his/her whole self to lead and use as He sees fit. God is a consuming Fire and He wants to consume every part of our lives for His glory!"
